William N. Scarff, Jr. joined Allergan in June of 2000, and is responsible for the management of all litigation activities including intellectual property, commercial disputes, products liability, collections and bankruptcies, and insurance (risk management). Prior to joining Allergan, Mr. Scarff was Associate General Counsel for ConAgra Grocery Products Company, a $3-billion food company, where he performed all in-house legal services for specific business units including R&D, ISS, Purchasing, Logistics/Distribution, Facilities, Finance/Credit, Insurance and Foodservice. Before joining ConAgra, Mr. Scarff served as a civil litigation attorney with the law firm of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, formerly Pillsbury Madison & Sutro, in Costa Mesa, California. Mr. Scarff received his B.S. in Agriculture in 1980 from Ohio State University and received his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Wright State University in June of 1988. He received his Juris Doctor in 1991 from the University of Southern California Law Center.
